The exemption from Cease Sale and Disconnection that existed initially for Special Services delivered over the Telstra copper network is coming to an end.
Progressive Cease Sale of new Special Services and Disconnection of existing copper Special Services will start in 2018.
Special Services will continue to be delivered via the Telstra copper network until the service is subject to managed disconnection or product exit.
If you are a Telstra Wholesale customer, we will provide you with periodic reporting to notify you about impending disconnections.
nbnTM Rollout Schedule
The nbn Rollout Schedule includes important information such as cease sale and disconnection dates for Telstra Wholesale products as the nbn network rollout progresses.
Copper Migration
Transition information about Telstra's legacy copper and HFC network to the nbn.
ULLS that you have certified as being used to supply a service equivalent to a Special Service have the same Cease Sale and Disconnection exemptions as the relevant Special Services. Please ensure you have notified Telstra of any certified ULLS used as Special Service Inputs through the submission of relevant orders via Telstra systems well before the rollout region Disconnection Date. Otherwise, the associated copper paths will be disconnected in accordance with Telstra’s obligations under the Migration Plan.
You can continue to order new ULLS certified as SSI within nbn rollout regions up until the applicable Cease Sale or Stop Sell date for the relevant class of Special Services. After the Cease Sale or Stop Sell date for the relevant class of Special Services, you can no longer certify new ULLS as being used as an SSI for the relevant class of Special Services.
ULLS certified as SSI will be disconnected in nbn rollout regions that have passed their rollout region Disconnection Date, from the relevant Special Service Disconnection Date onwards.
