Key definitions

FDA or Fibre Distbution Area: A geographic urban area where all the fibre cables in that area connect to a Fibre Distribution Hub in the street and then back to the exchange. The FDA is the replacement for the existing copper based Distribution Area but with an adjustment in geographic boundary due to the different technology.  

Tranche: A group of FDAs within the exchange service area. Services will be migrated Tranche by Tranche.

Start Migration Date: The date Telstra plans to commence migrating services over copper in a particular Tranche.

End Migration Date: The date Telstra plans conclude migration activity in a particular Tranche.
